Getting Married!

Congratulations on your engagement!  Getting married in church is exciting, personal, meaningful and holy.  You can be married at any of the three churches in our team.

Wedding
We run a parish office on Monday evenings (term-time only) 6-7pm at St John’s church.  If you contact us to make an enquiry about a wedding, we will invite you to attend this drop-in session.  We will be delighted to meet you and will try to answer your questions.  We’ll fill out a marriage application form and give you information about what to do next.

If you are getting a married in another church and need to have your Banns read at one of our churches and are unsure if you live in one of our parishes see www.achurchnearyou.com

There are some legal requirements if you wish to be married in church. To see if you can get married in one of our churches and for for more information see https://www.yourchurchwedding.org/article/legal-requirements

We do our best to make your wedding service as personal and special as possible.  There are a variety of options with regard to music in church, flowers in church, and the readings you have at your service. You will be invited to a marriage preparation morning to help you think through getting married, and you are welcome to approach us with queries or questions at any stage.

For information on getting married in the Church of England, see www.yourchurchwedding.org It is also possible to arrange wedding blessings, or renewal of vows ceremonies in our churches.

We would be delighted to welcome you to our churches.
